There are two primary reasons…the pastrami and the portions. Their menu says size matters, and they’re not kidding. A sandwich here will leave you stuffed. The pastrami is full of flavor and the corned beef and brisket are also excellent. If you’re looking to save, try their budget-friendly lunch specials that include a sizable sandwich, fries, and a drink. If you’re looking to splurge, go for the G.B.M.F.
It feeds 3-4 people but doesn’t come cheap. It does, however, come complete with 1/2 lb portions of turkey, corned beef, pastrami, roast beef, and brisket, stacked and layered between bread, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and vegetables. The sandwich is served with 5 pickles and 2 sides. If you’re up for a fun food challenge, you can try to complete everything solo in 55 minutes or less.
